冒頭の挨拶集

・Hello Bob,

・Hello Bob-san,  ← 日系ビジネスだと、san(さん)を知っているため、-sanと付けてもOK。

・Hi Bob,

・Good afternoon Bob,

・Good morning Bob,

・Dear Mr Bob, ← Dearは使っても良いが、B to Cが多い。B to Bだと通常は上記Helloで十分。

・Dear Ms Sarah, ← Ms(結婚前)は出来るなら避けるべき、Mrs(結婚後)と混同が起きる。

・Dear Madam, ← 女性へ送る場合、複数だとMadamsになる。

・Dear Sir, ← 男性へ送る場合、複数だとSirsになる。

・To whom this may concern, ← 誰が関係者かわからない場合、結構使える表現。

書き出しの一文

・I hope everything is going well. ← 一番のお勧めです。相手も返信する必要がないため。

・Long time no see. ← 日本人は使いがちですが、少し否定的な表現のため無理に使う必要ない。

・Long time no hear. ← No seeをNo hearと置き換えることも出来ます。

目的を説明する文章

・Enclosed file is word data of his report. ← enclosed (同封された)と使われる場合もあります。
